E-APIS For those unfamiliar with the new U.S. Customs & Border Patrol requirement in regards to the Electronic Advanced Passenger Information System (E-APIS), a free,short course is available at AOPA'a Air Safety Foundation. You will require to file this information before you fly to U.S.

An interesting fact to be aware of is that when filing your eAPIS manifest for leaving the U.S. the airport of departure must be an airport of entry (AOE) or the system will reject the manifest. The pilot must then state the actual airport they are departing from in Departure Location Description .
